With a heritage that goes all the way back to the original 1965 Electra Glide® model, the Road King® model is a classic custom touring bike. At its heart, as with all Touring family models, is the Twin Cam 96™ V-twin powertrain, mounted proudly and prominently for the world to see, its black and chrome treatment making a bold styling statement.
Though it may look like a big boulevard cruiser, the Road King model is a touring bike through and through. A detachable windshield and air-adjustable suspension keeps the comfort factor high, whether riding two-up or solo. It also offers traditional hard locking saddlebags for optimum luggage-carrying capacity and weather protection. The large Hiawatha headlamp with chrome nacelle lets others know what’s coming. The passenger pillion on the comfortable two-piece seat removes to make high style a higher priority when traveling solo. For 2008, a larger six-gallon fuel tank makes long-haul comfort go a little farther still.
